My daughter has really enjoyed ‘Drama’ since she started in November 08. Many an occasion the class has been a great threat for good behaviour; ‘if you are naughty you won’t go to drama this Saturday’ is generally followed by ‘but I want to go to drama Mummy’. The recent showcase event was a great way to see just how much Georgie seemed both confident and to enjoy herself – the big grin on her face throughout said it all. I even felt that her confidence had increased since the Christmas stage show. Sometimes I wonder if my 3yr old (going on 13yr old fast) daughter needs too much more confidence but it is certainly a worthy attribute through out life – and one which I feel the Newson Academy enhances.

When I first started with Joanne, I had little knowledge of Drama. She gave me direction, and understanding. Joanne makes learning enjoyable and easy, her teaching methods are creative and practical.

Joanne came into our school to give an afternoon workshop. This was a huge success, with Joanne encouraging full participation from all our students.
